Event By: Team Up 4 Community

Event Type: Seniors

Sport: Schools

Date: April 23, 2020

Location:
Harborfields High School
Taylor Avenue, Greenlawn
NY

About:

Harborfields High School students understand the importance of maintaining community connections amidst mandatory school and non-essential business closures. That’s why members of the school’s National Honor Society have coordinated with their adviser Laura Pfaff to create videos to brighten up patients’ days at Sunrise Nursing Home Facilities.

With locations throughout Long Island, Queens, Staten Island and Yonkers, residents have been able to access the society’s YouTube channel to view instrumental and vocal performances, poetry readings, athletic talents and student artwork.

“These students are working together to bring art, culture and joy to our Sunrise Residents,” Sunrise Regional Director of Sales Laurie Tupper said. “We can’t thank them enough!”
