About:

NJHS Students Volunteer at Stuff A Bus Event

Cloudy skies with a chance of rain could not stop members of the National Jr. Honor Society, which include studnet athletes, from volunteering at the BSHS’s annual Stuff A Bus event. Students arrived early to create posters and decorate the bus that would stow donations of non-perishable goods. As homecoming floats cruised through the streets of Bay Shore, 8th grade MS students boxed a variety of food items and then carefully loaded them on the bus. Even though the sun hardly made an appearance on this chilly October Saturday, the event will surely warm the hearts of many families this holiday season.

NJHS member Max Mayott stated, “I felt happy that we could organize an event that will help many families this Thanksgiving.”

Tiffani Albergo added, “It was a good experience to help others through the Honor Society.”
