About:
Sweet Home Girls Lacrosse team took their teamwork and spirit beyond the field to celebrate Earth Day in the most meaningful way possible—by giving back to the planet.
After wrapping up practice, the team gathered around the turf complex not with sticks and balls, but with gloves and garbage bags. Their mission? To clean up their school grounds and raise awareness about the importance of environmental responsibility.
What made this initiative even more special was that it was led by one of their own—Junior midfielder Kaitlyn Scholz. Inspired to take action and make a positive impact, Kaitlyn organized the event and rallied her teammates to join her in making their community a little greener.
Together, the girls picked up trash, removed debris, and left their turf complex looking better than ever. But more than the clean-up itself, the event symbolized something greater—their commitment to service, teamwork, and leadership both on and off the field.
