About:
Lax Out Cancer is an annual lacrosse fundraising event that recognizes local families battling cancer while raising money to support them in their fight. Run entirely by volunteers, the event began in 2009 when the Shoreham-Wading River lacrosse community came together to help the family of a local child battling cancer. Since then, Lax Out Cancer has grown into a powerful annual tradition, attracting increasing support from volunteers, donors, and community members each year. A portion of the proceeds also supports the Shoreham-Wading River lacrosse programs, with 5% donated to the Boys Lacrosse Program and 5% donated to the Girls Lacrosse Program.
