The Syosset Girls Soccer program is once again using the game they love to support an important cause through its annual Fight Like a GIRL breast cancer awareness fundraiser.
Each year, the student-athletes help spread breast cancer awareness by selling specially designed soccer shirts, with 100% of the proceeds benefiting Pink Aid. The initiative has become especially meaningful to the players and is a cause the program has developed a personal connection to over the years.
The fundraiser has continued to grow, with Syosset Girls Soccer raising $500 in 2023, $746 in 2024 and $800 in 2025. For 2026, the team set its sights on a new milestone with a goal of raising more than $1,000 for Pink Aid.
Players helped promote the fundraiser and encourage their school and community to get involved leading up to the September 13 shirt-order deadline. Beyond raising funds, the annual initiative gives the team an opportunity to raise awareness and show support for those impacted by breast cancer.
Through Fight Like a GIRL, Syosset Girls Soccer continues to demonstrate how student-athletes can rally around a cause that matters to them and turn their team spirit into meaningful impact beyond the soccer field.
