About:
What started as a baseball trip to Florida turned into a meaningful experience that extended far beyond the field.
While competing and sharpening their skills—splitting their two official games and getting valuable reps through scrimmages—the team also took time to make an impact in the local community.
Following one of their scrimmages, the players visited Weatherbee Elementary School, where they read to two fourth-grade classes. The visit created a special opportunity for student-athletes to connect with younger students, serving as role models while promoting the importance of reading and education.
More importantly, the experience highlighted the team’s character and leadership. Representing their school in another state, the players demonstrated respect, maturity, and a genuine commitment to giving back—values that extend far beyond baseball.
Moments like these are what education-based athletics are all about—using the platform of sports to build leaders, inspire others, and create lasting impact.
A great trip, meaningful memories, and lessons that will stay with these student-athletes long after the season ends.
