About:
Photo caption: Seventh graders in Ms. Caputo’s Project Lead the Way design and modeling technology class at Great Hollow Middle School in the Smithtown Central School District are hard at work designing and constructing therapeutic toys for students with special needs. As a culminating activity to their design unit, the students created different types of toys to help with therapy sessions. For example, the students designed paddles for wrist extensions, a puzzle piece racetrack, a whiteboard and toys that would help with hand-eye coordination.
