The Muccio siblings once again turned summer fun into community impact with their 4th annual lemonade stand, continuing their mission to raise money for school supplies and backpacks for children in the Middle Country Central School District (MCCSD) who are in need.
This year’s stand built on last year’s success, when their efforts raised $1,317, which went toward purchasing 75 backpacks and hundreds of essential school supplies to help local students start the school year prepared and confident.
The siblings hosted their stand from Monday, August 4 through Wednesday, August 6, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at North Bicycle Path and Cedar Avenue. Visitors enjoyed lemonade, chips, cookies, and handmade bracelets, along with a variety of kids’ clothes, shoes, toys, and household items — all in support of a great cause.
Both cash and Venmo donations were accepted, and community members also dropped off new school supplies and backpacks directly at the stand. Every dollar and donated item went directly toward helping MCCSD students in need.
This grassroots effort once again demonstrated the power of youth leadership and compassion. Through their creativity and kindness, the Muccio siblings continue to inspire others to give back and make a meaningful difference in their community.
