This year, the Farmingdale Friends and Family Team proudly took part in a new and meaningful event: the Best Buddies Friendship Walk—the nation’s premier walk dedicated to advocating for the inclusion of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Held on Saturday, May 10, at Marjorie Post Park, the event brought together community spirit and a shared purpose. With sixty walkers representing Farmingdale, the team made a strong statement in support of inclusion and acceptance—and also raised over $2,000 to benefit Best Buddies programs.
A special thank you goes out to Farmingdale High School senior Julianna DeSantis, who designed the team’s vibrant, custom shirts, adding a creative and personal touch that made the experience even more memorable.
