About:
Tuttle Avenue School first graders participated in a Thanksgiving celebration, which recognized and honored all essential workers in their school along with the veterans and active military in their community. It was a morning of poetry and song as each of the grade’s classrooms donned turkey and pilgrim headdresses and took to the stage to perform a variety of Thanksgiving holiday music and to recognize the important work that the faculty and staff do each day.
The school also collectively donated nonperishable food items for those in need during the holiday. The donated items were brought to Lion’s Heart and the Eastport Bible Church to assist in making the community’s holiday brighter.
