About:
WASHINGTON, DC – On Friday, March 11th the University of the District of Columbia Men’s soccer team continued its partnership with the Rock n Roll DC race series with a visit to the Stadium armory to help distribute t shirts and race packets to race participants.
The afternoon consisted of providing support and checking ID’s to racers of 5k, half marathon and marathon events. The student-athletes would then redirect racers to the main hall for the exhibition. The members of the soccer team worked a full four-hour shift assisting people with their respective needs.
Upon completion of their shift, racers and volunteers alike seemed happy with the days events.
“We have and will continue to support the DC Rock n Roll race series. It is a tremendous event which our student-athletes enjoy doing prior to their spring break,” Assistant Coach Danny Wadeson said.
The men’s soccer team’s next event will be to support Keen DC at St. Colletta School in early May.
