SWR boys lacrosse has been actively engaged in fundraising efforts within their community to support Don Riccardi and two other families navigating the challenges of cancer. Their primary goal has been to provide financial assistance to alleviate the burdens they face during this difficult time.
It’s a pleasure to share that their teams have made significant strides in achieving this goal, thanks to the incredible generosity and dedication of their players and supporters. Contributions have not only provided crucial financial support but have also served as a beacon of hope and solidarity for Don and his family, as well as the other families affected by cancer.
Beyond financial aid, their commitment to Don extends far deeper. They recognize the importance of emotional support and human connection during times of adversity. That’s why they’ve extended invitations for Don to join them during their practices, allowing their players to forge meaningful relationships with him. They believe that these interactions are invaluable in offering comfort and strength to Don as he battles cancer.
Furthermore, their players have pledged to continue supporting Don emotionally through various means, including emails, text messages, and other forms of communication. These gestures may seem small, but they carry immense significance in uplifting Don’s spirits and reminding him that he is not alone in his fight.
