About:
October at Unqua Elementary School means it’s time for Sock-tober! The student council is leading the charge by organizing a sock drive, collecting new socks for children, teens, and adults through October 31st. These donations will go directly to the YES Community Counseling Center in Massapequa, supporting local individuals and families in need.
In addition to contributions from students, families, and staff, the school is also receiving a generous donation from Bombas—two boxes full of high-quality socks to boost the impact of this drive. To get the word out and inspire participation, student council members made colorful and engaging posters that were displayed throughout the school, reminding everyone about the importance of giving back.
Sock-tober is a wonderful way for the Unqua Elementary community to show kindness and make a difference. Thank you to everyone who has donated and to the student council for their leadership and enthusiasm!
