About:
Armed with nothing but cupcakes, Lynbrook High School students, staff and community members waged a war to fight hunger. The event raised $900, half of which will be donated to Share Our Strength’s Great American Bake Sale, enabling this national organization to connect hungry children around the country with 4,000 nutritious meals. The other half of the proceeds will go to the Mission of Hope in Haiti, providing one kindergarten student with education, clothing and food for an entire year.
“Club members will be corresponding with the Haitian child they sponsored” said adviser Lauren Reganato. “They are excited to see how the fruits of their efforts can make such a positive difference in one young life.”
