Photo caption: Wantagh Elementary School is launching its Helping Hands food pantry this year, expanding an initiative that began a few years ago in the Wantagh School District. To help stock the pantry, the student council organized a food drive from Oct. 4-8. Students and staff were asked to donate non-perishable goods, which will be provided to families in the community.
