Members of the Wantagh High School Wrestling team recently made a meaningful impact by delivering unwrapped toys to the John Theissen Children’s Foundation. The donations were collected during the program’s home tournament, turning a competitive event into an opportunity to support children and families in need.
During their visit, the wrestlers also toured the foundation and learned more about its mission and the important work it does in the community. The experience provided valuable perspective and reinforced the importance of using athletics as a platform for service.
Through their generosity and teamwork, the Wantagh student-athletes demonstrated leadership beyond the mat, showing that giving back and supporting others is just as important as success in competition.
