About:
The Wappingers girls lacrosse community is celebrating sophomore Katie Gaston for becoming a Morgan’s Message Ambassador and using her platform to advocate for student-athlete mental health.
As a Morgan’s Message Ambassador, Katie is helping raise awareness about the importance of mental wellness while encouraging open conversations surrounding mental health challenges faced by athletes. Her leadership and willingness to speak out help continue the mission of eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health in sports.
Morgan’s Message was created to honor the life and legacy of Morgan Rodgers and works to provide student-athletes with resources, support, and encouragement to prioritize both their physical and mental well-being.
Katie’s involvement reflects the growing impact student-athletes can have when they use their voices to support others and create positive change within their school communities. Through advocacy, leadership, and compassion, she is helping remind fellow athletes that asking for help is a sign of strength and that no one has to struggle alone.
