About:
This group of kids volunteers often for local races & organizations – they definitely deserve to be recognized!
For the turkey trot the kids helped for about four hours as course marshalls. They directed 5k and mile fun run runners where to go and cheered them on up a muddy/hilly cross country course at one of the local apple orchards. They were troopers as the weather conditions were less than ideal (35* and raining). It was a true community event as team alumni, the warwick youth xc club and several of the volunteer’s parents and siblings ran. The kids did an awesome job cheering everyone on.
Other volunteering by this group includes coaching the warwick youth xc and track clubs and course marshalling other local races such as the Colors 4 a Cure COLOR RUN 5K for Cancer Awareness and the Memorial HERo 5K/10K.
