About:
The program had an incredible 38 girls step up and get involved!
In this tournament, both JV and varsity teams took charge of setup, takedown, and ensuring everything was spick and span. Meanwhile, the dedicated modified team student-athletes volunteered for specific time slots, handling tournament sales and graciously accepting donations.
Every JV and varsity player played an integral part by reaching out to the community and seeking donations for our raffle baskets. They were also involved in expressing their heartfelt thanks to those who supported them.
The setup and breakdown required roughly 4 hours of dedicated work, while the passionate modified team members each contributed a two-hour time slot.
The efforts were dedicated to Thrive to Survive, a local organization providing emotional, physical, and financial support to adults undergoing cancer treatment in Ontario, Seneca, Wayne, and Yates Counties.
What makes this tournament truly special is that some of the athletes have personally benefited from Thrive to Survive’s invaluable support.
