Waverly Elementary School recently hosted a powerful Autism Acceptance event, focusing on education, empathy, and inclusion. The day served as a meaningful opportunity for students and staff to come together to celebrate neurodiversity and deepen their understanding of autism.
The event kicked off with a presentation in the school cafeteria, where students gathered to learn more about what autism is, how it may affect individuals differently, and why embracing those differences makes our school community stronger. Through thoughtful discussions and age-appropriate resources, students explored the importance of kindness, compassion, and acceptance.
