About:
In response to the devastating Steuben County floods in late August, the hockey booster club and players from the Warriors team quickly mobilized to support affected families. Building on the initial clothing drive initiated by Primetime 585, the team recognized an opportunity to expand the effort and provide additional aid to those in need.
Families from the team contributed donations at the final summer skate, and soon after the school year began, the booster club organized a drive-thru donation event at Schroeder. They collected a wide variety of essential items, including clothing for men, women, and children, new sneakers, toys, toiletries, oral care products, and school supplies. Both players and parents worked together in shifts to receive and organize the donations, ensuring everything was ready for distribution.
Although the logistics of delivering the items are still being finalized, the team is committed to involving their student-athletes in the process as much as possible. This effort demonstrates the Warriors’ strong commitment to community service and supporting those in need.
Thanks to their hard work and dedication, the Warriors have made a meaningful difference for families affected by the floods. Well done, Warriors!
