The Boys and Girls Cross Country and Track and Field teams at West Babylon High School carried on a meaningful tradition this Thanksgiving season by organizing a food drive at Lidl in West Babylon. The teams came together to collect essential items to help feed local veterans, ensuring they had a warm and joyous holiday meal.
This heartwarming effort, spearheaded by team mom Veronica Dockery, marked the fifth consecutive year of the team’s Thanksgiving donation drive. Veronica worked tirelessly to spread the word throughout the community, rallying neighbors and friends to support this worthy cause.
In addition to aiding veterans, the teams ensured no contribution went to waste; any surplus donations were distributed to families in need within the community. Their dedication and teamwork not only supported local heroes but also strengthened bonds within the community.
This annual tradition reflects the true spirit of Thanksgiving—giving back and caring for others. Kudos to the West Babylon Cross Country and Track and Field teams for making a positive impact!
