Broadcasting students at West Hempstead Secondary School recently had the
opportunity to interview veterans from Cathedral Post 1087 and the Nassau County
American Legion.
Veterans Kerry Englander, John Fealy, Peter Johansen and Carl Johnson gathered in
the school’s library media center to share stories about their years of service. Equipped
with microphones and cameras, students split into groups as they conducted interviews
with each veteran.
Following the interviews, students held a Q&A session with all of the veterans. The
West Hempstead School District would like to thank the veterans for their service and for
sharing their time with the students.
