About:
The Westborough High School Varsity Volleyball team is preparing to turn its home court pink for a meaningful cause as the Rangers host Acton-Boxborough on Thursday, October 22, for their annual Dig Pink Night.
This year’s event aims to raise $6,000 for the Side-Out Research Program, supporting patients battling metastatic breast cancer and helping advance important cancer research.
Rangers Rally for Breast Cancer Awareness
Dig Pink Night has become a meaningful tradition for the Westborough volleyball program, bringing student-athletes, coaches, families, and community members together to support those affected by breast cancer.
Through this initiative, the Rangers are using their platform as student-athletes to raise awareness, encourage donations, and make a difference beyond the volleyball court.
Community members are encouraged to contribute ahead of the event or attend the October 22 matchup against Acton-Boxborough to show their support.
Playing for a Purpose
The Side-Out Foundation supports research and programs focused on improving outcomes for individuals living with metastatic breast cancer.
By setting a $6,000 fundraising goal, the Westborough volleyball team is demonstrating how student-athletes can turn their passion for sports into meaningful community impact.
Beyond the competition, Dig Pink Night provides an opportunity for the Rangers to lead by example, promoting compassion, teamwork, and the importance of giving back.
Making an Impact Beyond the Court
Westborough’s annual Dig Pink Night is a reminder that high school athletics can serve as a powerful platform for positive change.
