About:
In the wake of the devastating hurricanes that recently struck Florida and North Carolina, the Westhampton Beach Cheer team has taken action to make a meaningful difference. Recognizing the widespread impact of the storms, the team quickly rallied together to organize a Hurricane Relief Drive, aimed at supporting families who have lost their homes, belongings, and sense of security due to the hurricanes.
As the news of the devastation unfolded, several members of the cheer team were eager to help and immediately approached their coach to get involved. With the full support of the high school administration, the team swiftly set plans in motion. They are collecting essential supplies to be sent to the affected areas, asking the school community to join in by contributing donations. Additionally, a collection box will be set up at their homecoming game this Friday evening, further encouraging support.
At Westhampton Beach, the team strives to help others whenever they are in need, and this initiative is a perfect example of that spirit in action. “This is an opportunity for us to use our platform to give back and support those who are going through such a difficult time,” the team shared.
The Westhampton Beach Cheer team invites fellow athletes, students, and community members to participate in any way they can. Whether it’s donating supplies or simply spreading the word, every contribution makes a difference. Through this drive, the team is not only raising awareness but also inspiring others to take action and show compassion for those facing adversity.
For the cheer team, it’s more than just cheering—it’s about lifting up those who need it the most.
