About:
For Seaford Manor Elementary School’s great kindness challenge, students were asked to donate new pajamas. They responded with great generosity, contributing 68 new pairs of sleepwear to the cause.
The challenge was spearheaded by social worker Jennifer DeMieri, and students donated over a 10-day span in February. Pajamas were donated to local organizations to help children in need.
“The goal of these very special days is to teach our students about the importance of kindness and helping others,” she said. “The students were so excited to contribute to this cause. Even through these difficult times, our students and families continue to prove that kindness, compassion and empathy is what makes us Seaford Manor strong.”
To further spread kindness, the pajamas and little treats were placed in bags that students decorated with uplifting messages.
