Walt Whitman’s Varsity Softball team hosted Bay Shore for a powerful Coaches vs. Cancer game, turning the field into a place of both competition and compassion. The event brought both teams together in a shared mission: to raise awareness about cancer and support ongoing research efforts.
Through generous support and spirited raffle ticket sales, funds were raised to benefit cancer research and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. It was a day that showcased not only athletic talent but also the heart and unity of student-athletes coming together for a cause bigger than the game.
