Woburn Volleyball Supports Breast Cancer Awareness with Victory Over Billerica

The Woburn Memorial High School Girls Volleyball team took the court for a meaningful cause on October 23, traveling to Billerica High School for a special Breast Cancer Awareness Game.

The Tanners joined their opponents in recognizing Breast Cancer Awareness Month, highlighting how high school athletics can bring student-athletes and school communities together in support of an important cause.

The special matchup provided an opportunity for both volleyball programs to recognize those affected by breast cancer while bringing attention to the importance of awareness and community support.

Breast Cancer Awareness games remind student-athletes that their influence extends beyond competition, providing a platform to demonstrate compassion, unity, and support for individuals and families facing difficult challenges.

By participating in the event, Woburn helped reinforce the importance of using sports to support causes that matter.

Woburn Earns a 3–1 Victory

Along with the meaningful occasion, the Tanners delivered a strong performance on the court, earning a 3–1 victory over Billerica.

The win improved Woburn’s season record to an impressive 13–5, reflecting the team’s hard work, determination, and commitment throughout the season.

While the victory was worth celebrating, the evening also provided an opportunity to recognize a cause greater than the game.
