About:
ROCKVILLE CENTRE, N.Y. – One of the cornerstones of the women’s bowling program is its belief in charitable works. In the spirit of giving, freshmen Gianna Avallone (Blauvelt, N.Y), Jennifer Bisogno (Toms River, N.J.), Kayla Dobrinski (Sloatsburg, N.Y.), Carly Licht (Bethpage, N.Y.), and Rosie Snyder (Wantagh, N.Y.) ventured to the INN in Hempstead to offer their assistance to the communities homeless on Friday (Feb. 3, 2017).
The INN addresses the issues of hunger and homelessness on Long Island by providing food, shelter, long-term housing and supportive services in a dignified and respectful manner for those who seek help. The staff at the INN shared their philosophy of giving with the student-athletes. Head Women’s Bowling Coach Dr. Robert Cincotta shared with his student-athletes that, “you do not need to be great to give, but to be great you must give.”
