GLEN COVE, N.Y. (Oct. 11, 2016) – The LIU Post women’s golf team volunteered its time last Friday at the 2016 Nassau Invitational at Nassau Country Club in Glen Cove.
The Pioneers spent the day on the course as spotters, forecaddies and scorekeepers for the 80 competitors.
“Nassau Country Club and its golf professionals do so much for our team throughout the year,” said Head Coach Craig Maerki. “It is our way of giving back to the club.”
The Nassau Invitational is one of the oldest amateur golf competitions in the United States. It is an annual tournament that was first played in 1897.
