About:
During the month of May thirty-six make and female students from our modficied, JV, and varsity basketball teams participated in Mental Health Awareness Month at Woodlands Middle High School. The students participated and completed the following projects. They performed community service hours throughout the month of May. Each student accumulated twenty hours of service.
- A Positive Poster Project for NAMI and CODA. Students wrote out positive affirmations and put them onto a poster. The posters are displayed throughout the Woodland MHS school building
- Students created a CODA Awareness bulletin board titled ” How can you Help Others”
- Students participated in a walk around the Woodlands Campus in solidarity of CODA AND NAMI.
- Students assisted the Greenburgh Cares program and the Food Bank of Westchester to distribute to families in need. Students wore their CODA shirts in support of the Harris Project-CODA
- Created a Labyrinth Maze, and an outdoor Safe Space on the campus titled “We are Greenburgh Strong”
