About:
The Port Jefferson School District is pleased to thank Earl L. Vandermeulen High School junior Liam Cooper for spearheading a fundraiser that resulted in more than $1,500 on National Wreaths Across America Day Dec. 14.
Wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery and more than 2,100 additional locations across the country remembered and honored our military. Liam’s effort, which was a collaborative effort with the high school’s Varsity Club, allowed for 101 holiday wreaths to be placed on the graves of our nation’s veterans.
