This groundbreaking event, spearheaded by Yorktown High School’s Ambassador Program and Yorktown Legends club, demonstrated how athletic competition can unite communities for a greater cause.
A Foundation of Support
The JCK Foundation, known for its impactful mental health presentations in freshman seminar classes, has been a cornerstone of support across multiple school districts, including Yorktown, Croton-Harmon, Lakeland, and Haldane. Their mission? To empower students to openly discuss mental health and create safe, supportive learning environments.
Student-Led Initiative
What makes this event particularly special is its student-driven nature. The Ambassador Program and Yorktown Legends club members, alongside the girls’ basketball team, took the lead in organizing this meaningful double-header event.
