Knights Come Together to Support Local Families
The Fall Family Festival brought families and children together for a day filled with activities, community connections, and valuable resources.
The event featured family-friendly activities, basket giveaways, and information about local organizations and services available to support children and families.
York’s student-athletes volunteered their time to assist with the festival, demonstrating their commitment to serving others beyond the playing field.
Making a Difference Beyond the Game
For the York Knights, the festival provided an opportunity to give back to the community that supports them throughout their athletic seasons.
By volunteering alongside event organizers and community members, the athletes helped support an initiative focused on bringing families together and connecting them with helpful resources.
Their participation highlighted the importance of leadership, compassion, and teamwork beyond athletic competition.
Knights Leading Through Community Service
The York Varsity Girls Volleyball and Football teams’ involvement in the Fall Family Festival serves as a reminder that student-athletes have the ability to make a positive impact in their communities.
Through their willingness to volunteer and support local families, the Knights demonstrated that some of the most meaningful victories happen off the field.
The 2026–2027 NYSPHSAA Community Service Challenge, presented by Team Up 4 Community, celebrates the efforts of student-athletes who demonstrate leadership, kindness, and a commitment to making a difference in their communities.
