About:
We at Tappan Zee High School have been working with the Toys for Tots program for years. Our SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) club has been doing it for many years with their advisor Gene Kousoulas.
The track & field program has been working with SADD on the Toys for Tots collection for the past 6 or 7 years. In the past we have asked our athletes to either bring in an unwrapped toy to our practice and place in a donation box or they could donate money and then the coaching staff along with some of our captains have went to a store to buy toys.
This year is different so we are asking our athletes and community to go to the Toys for Tots website to donate a toy in their virtual toy collection box or make a small monetary donation. Our school will also have a collection box at the front of the school.
