Showing off their team spirit, members of the West Babylon varsity girls’ cross-country team participated in the Fit for a Cure 5K on Oct. 4 at Tanger Outlets in Deer Park.
The team wore custom made t-shirts in honor of 2001 West Babylon School District graduate Shannon Saturno (Romanchuk), who also participated in the run with her friends and family. Placing second place overall for the female division was
sophomore Tara Hauff, who also won her age division (15-19). Portions of the proceeds of the race went to the Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition.
