Glen Cove varsity softball gives back to community

April 28, 2017 By Team Up 4 Community

During spring break, Glen Cove High School’s varsity softball team coached by Angela Zupa and Kim Kessel invited the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club to the school for a clinic.
The softball team members gave instructions on throwing and fielding and even the rain couldn’t put a damper on the day. The youngsters finished with a kickball game inside the school’s gymnasium.
The team would like to extend a big thank-you to the Boys and Girls Club directors Desiree O’Neil and Breanna Townsell, who both work so well with the students and always help make the clinic a success. This time, they went above and beyond and brought the children back the next day to cheer the varsity girls on to a victory against Great Neck South. All had a great time.
