On March 24, Memorial Junior High School students participated in the “Memorial Madness” basketball tournament that raised funds for the Autism Speaks organization. Coordinated by the school’s Physical Education and Health Department Chair Mike McQuillan and other staff members, the event was a great success and resulted in a $2,600 donation.
Fifteen teams of seventh- and eighth-graders took on the challenge for a good cause. Students and parents filled the gym as spectators to support this important effort.
