“One Voice, One Message” 5K Run/Walk Slated for April 16

February 25, 2016 By Team Up 4 Community

The Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District will host its second annual “One Voice, One Message” Super Hero 5K Run/Walk this spring.
The event will take place on April 16, at 9 a.m., starting and ending at Grand Avenue Middle School. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
The school district’s student ambassadors are organizing the race, and this year’s theme is super heroes. Participants are encouraged to wear costumes.
“All six schools within the district will be a part of this worthwhile cause to unite the district through community service,” said Dr. Mara Bollettieri, assistant superintendent of personnel.
Proceeds will benefit Walk4Wells, an organization that provides funding to areas that are plagued with unsanitary drinking water conditions.
To register for the race or for more information, visit http://www.itsyourrace.com/event.aspx?id=5005.
