NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Student-athletes and coaches from the Southern Connecticut State University athletic department joined with the SCSU Office of Sustainability to host students from the King Robinson School in New Haven on Monday. Students from the school received a tour of SCSU facilities and a meet-and-greet with the Owls’ student-athletes and coaches, while also taking part in recreational activities.
This event is just one example of many community outreach events that SCSU student-athletes take part in on an annual basis. SCSU student-athletes volunteered more than 2,000 hours of their time to numerous outreach efforts, both on-campus and in Greater New Haven, during the 2015-16 academic year.
