Students from the Carle Place School District are helping those in need this holiday season. Cherry Lane School, Rushmore Avenue School and Carle Place Middle/High School recently held toy drives to support different organizations during this season of giving.
Members of the Rushmore Avenue Student Council and students from Cherry Lane School collected new, unwrapped toys for New York State Assemblyman Edward Ra’s annual Long Island Toy Drive. The toy drive will benefit the NYU Langone Child Life Program and the John Theissen Children’s Foundation.
At Carle Place Middle/High School, members of the Carle Place Key Club facilitated their own toy drive to benefit the NYU Langone Child Life Program and Carle Place Adopt-A-Family. Carle Place Adopt-A-Family is a community-based organization that sponsors families within the Carle Place Schools. Students in grades 9-12, staff and the middle school builders club participated in the drive.
The Carle Place School District is very proud of its students for their efforts and thanks the community for their generosity.
