About:
The Long Beach football program once again demonstrated the power of community partnership as JV and Varsity athletes teamed up with local businesses to support breast cancer research during the 2025 season. This year, generous contributions from neighborhood sponsors helped provide players with pink shirts to wear throughout Breast Cancer Awareness Month — a visible reminder of solidarity, hope, and the fight against cancer.
In addition to outfitting the teams, local businesses also made a meaningful donation to Memorial Sloan Kettering, supporting vital research and patient care. Their support reflects the deep connection between Long Beach athletics and the broader community, where businesses, families, and student-athletes work together to uplift important causes.
The partnership highlights how even small coastal towns can make a big impact when people unite with purpose. By combining athletic pride with meaningful service, Long Beach football continues to honor those affected by breast cancer while inspiring future generations to lead with heart — on and off the field.
