About:
Friday night’s Hockey Fights Cancer game in Norton was a reminder that some moments in high school sports go far beyond the final score.
Hawks Hockey Family & Friends joined Norton High School Athletics for Norton’s annual Hockey Fights Cancer game, an event dedicated to honoring those affected by cancer and raising awareness for the cause. While the Hawks came up short on the scoreboard with a 3–0 result, the true victory was the shared commitment to something bigger than the game itself.
The Hawks were grateful for the invitation from Norton and Coach D to take part in such a meaningful night, representing the values of compassion, sportsmanship, and unity. Players, families, and fans from multiple school communities came together, creating an atmosphere of support, reflection, and purpose inside the rink.
Events like Hockey Fights Cancer highlight the powerful role high school athletics can play in bringing people together, supporting important causes, and teaching student-athletes that leadership is defined not only by performance, but by character and heart.
