About:
The Fall River football program recently made a positive impact in the classroom by visiting Tansey Elementary School as part of Read Across America Month.
During the visit, members of the team spent time reading with students and encouraging a love of books and learning. The collaboration, organized with support from school staff and coaches, created an engaging and memorable experience for younger students while allowing high school athletes to step into meaningful leadership roles.
By serving as positive role models, the players helped reinforce the importance of literacy, academic success, and community connection. The initiative also strengthened relationships between the high school athletic program and local elementary schools, highlighting how teams can give back in ways that extend beyond the playing field.
Through opportunities like this, Fall River football continues to show how athletic programs can inspire younger students while building character, responsibility, and service-minded leadership among student-athletes.
