The Rocky Point Softball Program recently brought its community together for a meaningful Cancer Awareness Softball Game focused on supporting the fight against cancer and raising awareness for an important cause.
Held on May 5, the special event encouraged families, friends, students, and community members to unite in support of those impacted by cancer while promoting the message: “Play for a Purpose. Strike Out Cancer.”
The game featured an exciting softball matchup paired with a powerful mission that extended far beyond the field. Through the event, the program helped create awareness, strengthen community connections, and demonstrate how athletics can serve as a platform for compassion, support, and giving back.
Cancer awareness games continue to play an important role in honoring survivors, supporting families affected by cancer, and helping communities rally together around hope and advocacy. The Rocky Point softball community embraced that mission by creating an atmosphere centered around unity and purpose.
Student-athletes helped lead the effort while using their platform to inspire others and support a cause that impacts countless families and communities every day.
