Mahopac Girls Lacrosse took the field for more than just competition during their Morgan’s Message game against Brewster.
By dedicating the matchup to mental health awareness, the program helped shine a light on the importance of supporting student-athlete mental wellness and encouraging open conversations surrounding mental health. The event reflected the growing movement across high school athletics to use sports as a platform for connection, awareness, and support.
Through initiatives like Morgan’s Message games, student-athletes are helping break the stigma around mental health while reminding teammates, classmates, and communities that no one has to struggle alone. Mahopac Girls Lacrosse continues to demonstrate how athletics can create meaningful impact far beyond the scoreboard by fostering compassion, unity, and advocacy.
