Commack High School is preparing to commemorate the 25th anniversary of September 11 with a special remembrance ceremony.
In advance of Friday’s event, memorial banners were installed around the school on Wednesday afternoon, helping create a meaningful setting for students, staff and community members to reflect on the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001.
The ceremony will provide an opportunity for the Commack school community to come together in remembrance, honor the courage shown by first responders and everyday citizens, and reinforce the importance of unity and service.
Through this tribute, Commack High School is helping ensure that the significance of September 11 continues to be remembered by future generations.
