About:
The Horace Greeley High School Field Hockey program combined teamwork, school spirit, and a meaningful cause on October 22, hosting a special Pink Out Game in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The Quakers welcomed Pelham for the stadium matchup and celebrated an impressive 2–0 victory, but the team’s impact extended far beyond the scoreboard.
Quakers Rally for Breast Cancer Awareness
The Pink Out Game brought together student-athletes, coaches, families, and community supporters to raise awareness and funds for those affected by breast cancer.
Through their efforts, the Greeley Field Hockey program raised over $5,000 for the Miles of Hope Breast Cancer Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by breast cancer.
The initiative demonstrated the power of student-athletes to rally their communities around an important cause, inspiring generosity, compassion, and meaningful involvement.
Making an Impact Beyond the Field
While the Quakers celebrated a victory on the field, their greatest accomplishment was the positive difference they made beyond the game.
By raising more than $5,000 and encouraging their community to get involved, the Greeley Field Hockey program showed how high school athletics can be a powerful platform for giving back.
