About:
Students from Albany High School’s National Honor Society (NHS) turned Halloween into an opportunity to make a difference through their annual Trick or Treat for Food Shelf initiative, collecting food donations to support local individuals and families in need.
Rather than spending Halloween solely enjoying traditional festivities, these dedicated students volunteered their time to help neighbors facing food insecurity, demonstrating the true spirit of community service.
Turning Halloween Into an Opportunity to Give Back
On October 31, Albany National Honor Society members continued their annual tradition of collecting food donations for their local food shelf.
The initiative brought together student volunteers and generous community members, transforming Halloween into an opportunity to support families who rely on food assistance.
The students’ efforts resulted in an impressive collection of donations, reflecting both the generosity of the Albany community and the dedication of the young volunteers.
