Longwood Jr. High Cheerleading and the Longwood Youth Sports Association (LYSA) Cheerleading teams work together throughout the year to build children's athletic skills. Both organizations enjoy giving back yo the community. The school cheerleaders volunteer their time to coach the young girls in the community league. The teams have dedicated time to assist with the LYSA challenger cheer team designed for individuals with special needs to enjoy the sport. The cheerleaders have created Thanksgiving Food baskets for needy families in the community, baskets were donated to 4 elementary schools. The Jr. High Cheerleaders & LYSA coaches participated in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. The teams also collected toys for needy families and the school snowflake drive for the holiday season.
